OUR CIDER
We craft cider in harmony with wild systems, to reflect the land, the season, and the spirit of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.
On 18 rugged acres in the Northeast Kingdom, our orchard grows more like a forest than a farm—layered, alive, and teeming with relationships. Apples share space with plums, pears, and peaches. Nitrogen-fixing trees like black locust and alder restore the soil. Beneath them, a living carpet of berries, wildflowers, and herbs hums with bees, birds, and native fungi. Nothing is sprayed. Nothing is wasted. Just compost, whey, and the patient labor of roots and rain. This isn’t managed land—it’s a co-creation, designed ecologically and tended with respect for the intelligence of the system itself.

This is not a cider that could be made anywhere else.
It’s shaped by granite-rich soil, steep hillsides, and the slow resilience of fruit that has weathered Vermont’s hardest seasons. It holds the complexity of this land and the rhythm of those who care for it. Echodale cider is Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom in a glass—unfiltered, unfussy, unforgettable.

Beyond Organic, By Design
We’ve chosen not to pursue organic certification—not because we fall short of the standards, but because the process often emphasizes paperwork and fees over real ecological care. In truth, our approach goes well beyond what the organic label requires. We don’t add anything to the land—no synthetic chemicals, no fertilizers, not even approved organic inputs. We farm intuitively, working with the rhythms of the land and trusting in the strength of natural systems to guide us. Our focus is on true stewardship: listening closely, responding thoughtfully, and letting the ecosystem lead.
We don’t impose flavor. We reveal it. Echodale Cider is an honest translation of terroir—nothing added, nothing masked.
Here at Echodale, we’re all about crisp wild apples and flower crowns. Sun through leaves and dirt under fingernails. We're off-the-clock, barefoot-in-the-grass, someone’s-laughing cider—100% natural, no GMOs, no sugar added. Just wild fermentation and time, crafting a dry, effervescent cider with the elegance of champagne and none of the sweetness you didn’t ask for.
The harvest doesn’t end with cider. Explore our shelves for earthborn teas, healing salves, golden honey from our bees, and Vermont-based staples.
